The video games and home video collectibles are all pedigreed to the Peter Laird & Kevin Eastman Collection, with many covetable selections available for sale on the Kevin Eastman Studios website.

Cowabunga! CGC recently had the honor of authenticating and grading several comics, prints, home video collectibles and video games from the personal collection of Kevin Eastman — the original co-creator of the TMNT comics alongside Peter Laird! These select home video collectibles, comics, prints and video games are all pedigreed to the Kevin Eastman & Peter Laird Collection, and many are now available for sale on the Kevin Eastman Studios website. Don’t miss the chance to own a “slice” of pop culture history!

“We are thrilled to have been entrusted with the personal collections of Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird,” said Kenneth Thrower, Director of Grading for CGC Video Games and CGC Home Video. “These two artists are responsible for one of the largest and most beloved multimedia franchises in the world, and preserving their own collectibles for posterity is an honor.”

CGC certified more than a dozen examples of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie and its sequels — all films that were directly based on Eastman and Laird’s original TMNT comic book series from 1984. Additionally, CGC certified several examples of the TMNT video games, including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters — a game that was praised for its high-quality audio and fighting mechanics. Several of these CGC-certified videocassettes and video games received grades of CGC 9.6 or higher.

TMNT got its start as a self-published, black-and-white, oversized comic created in Eastman and Laird’s homes. It was a surprise success that eventually led to the series exploding into a phenomenon. As Eastman and Laird continued the series, they created many merchandising and multimedia deals that included video games, toys, films and a television series.
